Time to Say Goodbye

So today Erin and Nick left for Italy to get married and honeymoon. It was a bittersweet day for all of us. I am so happy that she and Nick are getting married but also sad that I won't get to witness it. I hope that Erin will be able to forget the last few days and everything here so that they can have such a wonderful time!

When we dropped them off at the airport, both Erin and my mom were bawling while embracing in a hug. It was really hard for me to watch because I just want everything to be ok and for everyone to be happy! I guess that will take some time. But I know that the Lord will get us through all of it! Cole Wedding...

We just got home about an hour ago from a wedding of an old friend, Braden Cole. I can't believe he is married - he looked like such a little kid up there at the alter waiting for Lacey to come down the aisle.

The wedding was at Hunter's Glen with the reception at the Renaissance Hotel.

Light h'orderves were served at the beginning with champagne and chardonnay then once the doors opened to the main room there was a buffet. A little into the evening the dancing begun and the party really got started!













It was a great wedding and I was able to catch up with several old friends! Anyway, here are a few pictures from the evening.

4th of July Fun

I love the 4th of July....the fireworks, the friends, the food, and the fun! This year, we went to the lake for the 4th of July weekend. We left on Thursday night and came back Sunday afternoon. We had 9 people, not including my parents and I come up on Friday around noon and then all of those people spent the night Friday and then my brother and 11 of his friends came up on Saturday...so we had a BUNCH of people up at the lake for the weekend! Friday night all 12 of us got in the boat and went over to a marina called Grandpappy's to watch the fireworks - they were EVERYWHERE...no matter which direction you were looking, you could see fireworks - so great! It was a perfect night to be out on the water! You have to drive slow on the 4th at night when in the boat because there are SOOO many other boats out. Well, that also means that the boat in which you are riding is low to the water if you are driving slow; therefore, you WILL get wet by waves of bigger boats coming over the bow...haha! On Saturday, we played all day on the water...wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, riding waverunners, laying out, and of course eating. Later that evening we shot handguns and our own fireworks that were given to us by a neighbor - they were pretty sweet fireworks - not the dinky ones but the ones that go way up and explode into various colors. Such a fun and relaxing weekend that went by all too quickly!
